What precautions do we take at our practices to stay COVID-safe?
We value your safety and the safety of all our staff. To ensure we all adhere to government guidelines and restrictions within our practice, please make sure to:
- Practice social distancing while you wait for your appointment
- Be sure to sanitise your hands when entering and leaving our practice. Hand sanitiser stations can be located at reception
- Check-In Queensland App with QR code located at reception
Our dentists and dental assistants will be wearing masks and other appropriate PPE to ensure they limit contact with you during your appointment.
Can I go to a dentist if I am not fully vaccinated?
From 17 December 2021 in QLD, if you are not fully vaccinated (one dose or no vaccination), you can only visit critical retail premises. This means you can come to the dentist as this is critical medical care.
Are your providers and support staff vaccinated?
All dental practices in Queensland are required by law to comply with the Public Health Orders and Directions in place in the applicable jurisdiction. This includes the Workers in a healthcare setting (COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements) Direction (Direction).
Under the Direction, everyone working in healthcare must be fully vaccinated by 15 December 2021 or have received an approved vaccination exemption.
The White bite complies with government directions and at this stage.
What if I feel unwell before my appointment?
If you feel unwell, or may be experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, please contact our friendly staff to reschedule your appointment as soon as possible.
We may give you a quick call prior to your appointment to check your health status. This is to ensure you are feeling well and have not been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 or aren’t currently waiting for your COVID-19 test results.
Can I still come in if I have been a close contact of a positive COVID-19 case?
If you are a close contact of a positive COVID-19 case, please contact our friendly staff to reschedule your appointment as soon as possible.
Please follow the government directions of your state regarding quarantining and testing requirements. For Queensland residents, these are updated on the Queensland Government website and New South Wales residents can find them on the NSW Health website.
What happens if there is a lockdown?
We are open for all types of treatment if there are no restrictions imposed by the government.
In the event of a lockdown, restrictions may include essential or emergency dental treatments. If you are unsure, please call and speak to one of our reception staff for more information.
